Planetary reducer is a widely used industrial product, which can reduce the motor speed and increase the output torque. Planetary reducer can be used as a support in lifting, mining, transportation, construction, robot, CNC cutting machine and other industries. So, what are the factors that affect the gear temperature rise in daily operation?
1. The viscosity of the selected gear oil is too high and it is difficult to dissipate heat. Because the heat transfer effect of high viscosity oil is worse than that of low viscosity oil, the temperature rise will be more significant than that of low viscosity oil. Therefore, when selecting the appropriate load level, gear oil with low viscosity should be selected as far as possible.
2. For the newly installed gearbox, due to the need for a certain running in time, the equipment has not entered the normal wear stage, resulting in the increase of the tooth surface temperature of the planetary reducer, which is a necessary stage for the normal operation of the equipment. Therefore, the first oil change cycle of the new gearbox is relatively short, and the cleaned abrasive is brought out through oil change.
3. Excessive oil and high oil level affect the normal heat dissipation of planetary reducer gear. Note: too much or too little fuel will affect the heat dissipation effect.
4. The planetary reducer gearbox is overloaded, the oil film is broken, and there is a trend of wear failure. The high friction and wear between gear pairs leads to the increase of tooth surface temperature. According to the load, the oil with appropriate viscosity grade or appropriate load grade shall be selected. For example, extreme pressure gear oil and high viscosity oil are good for lubrication, but they also have the negative effect of poor heat dissipation.
